You will be the financial backbone of our operations, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while helping us plan for what’s next. Position Summary The Controller is a management role responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control functions across the organization's growing multi-unit hospitality portfolio. Serving as a key business partner to the CFO and operations leadership, the Controller ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, drives process efficiency, and provides actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and profitable growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full accounting function, including accounts payable, payroll oversight, banking, and month-end processes Supervise and develop a team of 5+ (accounts payable and general ledger staff) Review and process accounting transactions (AP, sales entries, accruals, lease accounting and other journal entries) Ensure proper revenue recognition, cost of goods, and labor accounting across all units Manage monthly close and balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare and file sales and mixed beverage tax returns Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables Interface with location managers and vendors to resolve inquiries Provide documentation and support to external auditors Manage cash flow and banking transactions on a daily basis Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the hospitality, retail, or restaurant industry with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Microsoft D365, or similar ERP) High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Flexible and open to continuous process improvement Strong sense of ownership and accountability Why Join Woody’s Brands?
