Regional Operations Manager UCHC NSP

Overview University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) operates within Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and provides physical, mental health, dental, and sex offender treatment services in New Jersey correctional facilities. UCHC serves approximately 1,000 staff within a $150 million budget. Under the direction of the Director of Operations and Accreditation, the Regional Operations Manager will implement procedures and workflows to ensure efficient delivery of logistical and administrative services for UCHC within DOC facilities. Responsibilities Supervise the facility operational plan Identify and implement operational enhancements to meet evolving patient and DOC needs. Generate data reports. Procure and distribute supplies related to operational processes. Ensure adherence to National Commission on Correctional Healthcare guidelines. Collaborate with the Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement Team to identify and implement improvement interventions. Participate in systematic performance measurement and assessment of key functions and processes. Report local performance improvement activities annually to the Quality Improvement Department. Collaborate effectively with DOC Administration Work collaboratively with the DOC facility administrative team to ensure patient care needs are met and provide operational leadership. Partner with DOC to communicate patient needs clearly and concisely. Address existing or potential barriers to care and represent UCHC favorably in all interactions. Manage UCHC administrative workflow Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff. Hire, supervise, train, manage, and terminate administrative staff. Communicate timely information from meetings and conferences to staff. Conduct meetings relevant to job responsibilities to ensure facility needs are met. Ensure annual performance evaluations are completed for all administrative staff. Salary and Benefits Grade: 25S – Salary Range: $82,856 – $126,775 (mid‑range $104,816). Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, Social Services, Health Care Specialization, Physical Sciences, or related field AND two (2) years of progressive administrative, managerial, or consultative experience in a government agency, university, or large business office, at least one supervisory role. OR Baccalaureate degree in a related discipline AND four (4) years of progressive administrative, managerial, and consultative experience. Outstanding human‑relations and leadership skills, and ability to function in a team environment. Knowledge of superior performance in a unionized environment. Valid New Jersey driver’s license; must possess a vehicle for travel between sites. Ready for 24/7 on‑call duties.
