Accountant II

Job SummaryThe Accountant position is responsible for providing company leaders with monthly statistics and financial information. This position ensures accuracy in the allocations of organization costs and compiles, consolidates, and analyzes financial data for the production of financial statements and reports, to identify trends, to research variances and areas of concerns, to develop cost projections, and to present the results to various levels of management and internal/external customers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCompletes day to day accounting entries including but not limited to miscellaneous journal entries and correcting entries.Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.Assists with month end adjusting entries and closingAssist with monthly financial statement analysisDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast processProvide input into department's goal setting processPrepare financial statements and produce budget according to scheduleVerify, allocate, post and reconcile transactionsProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusReconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account informationSecure financial information by completing database backupsDocument financial transactions by entering account informationRecommend financial actions by analyzing accounting optionsSummarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reportsMinimum QualificationsBachelors or masters degree in tax, accounting, or financeCPAMinimum 5-10 years experience in accounting/financeExperience with financial reporting requirementsExperience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas #J-18808-Ljbffr Planet Fitness - Baseline Fitness
