Paralegal Legal Assistant

Job Description Job Description The candidate must possess a minimum of one (1) years prior experience in personal injury, a similar legal field, and other relevant fields such as medical, marketing, or sales may be considered. Our ideal candidate will the ability to adapt, present and write well, have self-discipline, be self-motivated, a team-player, the ability to multi-task, and be an excellent communicator (written and verbal). This position involves assisting the attorney in all aspects of client and case management. Some of the regular tasks include; obtaining medical records and billing, drafting medical summaries, scheduling, basic e-filing, drafting of pleadings, maintaining client notes in firm case software (Clio), communication with adjusters, clients, medical providers, defense counsel, judicial assistants, and the ability to complete assigned tasks with efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, PDF, and Excel) Clio Case Management Software experience preferred Proficiency with computers, telephone lines, and other related office equipment Must have strong organizational skills; be able to follow instructions, switch tasks quickly and meet deadlines. Must exercise sound judgment, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues. Strong professionalism both in appearance and presentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent planning and reporting skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude Follow up skills Ability to handle and keep client information confidential Proficiency with legal administration and writing Pipas Law Group
