Critical Care Registered Nurse
Location: Summit, TN
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will work closely with the medical team to monitor and manage patients with complex medical needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment, including bipaps and high flow oxygen.
- Provide care related to peritoneal dialysis, tube feedings, and other specialized procedures.
- Conduct hourly rounding and maintain effective communication with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips.
- Proficient in EKG rhythm interpretation and critical thinking skills.
- Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis and various oxygen delivery systems.
