Kurt Manufacturing is looking for a dependable, hands-on maintenance mechanic with 2–4 years of industrial experience who enjoys solving problems and keeping equipment running smoothly. Skilled in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical repair, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.

Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.; Monday - Friday

Compensation

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $29.00 to $39.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.

Essential Functions

• Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
• Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Provides maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• May repair electrical equipment.

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• 2 years of related experience in an industrial environment

• 4 years of related experience

• Stoop by bending body downward and forward requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles
• Kneel by bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s)
• Crouch by bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine
• Crawl by moving about on hands and knees
• Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touch
• Talk by expressing or exchanging communication by means of the spoken word to impart oral information

Employees at our die casting facility can gain experience in multiple areas of manufacturing including aluminum and zinc die casting, CNC machining, automation, and quality control.
