Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Lennar is a leading homebuilder dedicated to delivering high‑quality homes and exceptional service for homeowners, communities, and associates. Overview Senior Accountant will oversee revenue and cash general ledger accounting and the month‑end close process. The role focuses on driving efficiencies, enhancing the close‑to‑report cycle, strengthening internal controls, and delivering accurate financial data to stakeholders. Responsibilities Supervise centralized accounting for homebuilding revenue and cash transaction cycles. Oversee the daily automated revenue HUD and cash process, reviewing and posting daily closing journal entries for home sales across 40 divisions with revenue over $30B. Analyze and troubleshoot variances in cash and revenue processes in collaboration with Division accounting, Lennar Title, and Treasury. Evaluate and implement improvements to increase efficiency and automation in accounting processes. Review and analyze reconciliations of all corporate cash accounts using Blackline. Supervise the general accountant in coding and posting cash to homebuilding divisions; liaise with divisions to ensure proper general ledger coding. Collaborate with Accounting Manager/Director on a regular basis to address critical accounting issues. Perform additional month‑end reporting and projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Master's Degree preferred. CPA or CPA candidate. 1‑3 years of experience in public accounting and/or with a public company preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational, management, analytical, decision‑making and research skills with ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with MS Excel and Word; experience with JD Edwards, Essbase, and Blackline. Physical and office/site presence requirements: primarily sedentary office; ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs; finger dexterity necessary.
