LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Houston, TX (77070) Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00am to 6:00pm; Friday 8:00am - 12pm Saturday 8am - 12pm (rotating; requested as needed) Job Responsibilities: * Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups * Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. * Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner * Process billing information and collect payments when required * Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis * Maintain patient and specimen information logs * Provide superior customer service to all patients * Administrative and clerical duties as necessary * Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: * 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment * 6 months or more OB/GYN / IVF clinical experience * Current or prior LabCorp experience Additional Job Standards: * In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test * Flexibility to work overtime as needed * Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment * Exceptional customer service * Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * Ability to work independently or in a team environment * Comfortable working under minimal supervision We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in our client's office setting. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company.
