ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Analyze debit balances on customer accounts to determine legitimacy.
2. Validate customer contract pricing, billbacks, and or chargebacks to ensure accuracy.
3. Collect and recover customer over-deductions.
4. Process credit memos and apply them appropriately to customer accounts and related debit balances.
5. Research and resolve shortages, pricing discrepancies, damages, and other account issues.
6. Perform collection activities, including outbound collection calls as needed.
7. Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts while participating in cross-training activities to support other functions, including Collections and Cash Applications.
8. Complete additional projects and assignments as directed by the Supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

1. None.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
2. Two or more years of experience in business administration, accounting, finance, pricing, data analytics, or a related field.
3. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

SKILLS

1. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookup functions, and pivot tables. Microsoft Access experience is preferred but not required.
2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, mathematical, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a strong customer service orientation.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy while handling a high volume of detailed work.
5. Ability to effectively balance competing priorities and respond to high-priority situations.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while organizing, prioritizing, and completing tasks proactively.
7. Strong proficiency with personal computers and business software applications, including Microsoft Office.
8. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers. 
9. Professional demeanor, positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
