• 24 or 48 hour shifts -- 2 x 24 hour shifts every 2 weeks
• 4 shifts per month needed
• Census of 8 - 10 patients; can surge up to 20
• Additional provider called in for support during census surges
• Procedures: deliveries, intubation, lumbar puncture, chest tubes
• PICC/UAC/UVC line placement and vent management required
• Resuscitation skills required -- NRP certification needed
• Hospital privileges required
