Position Summary


This position will serve as a key HR advisor to the President and management team and will be


responsible for employee relations, recruitment, compensation, payroll oversight, benefits,


compliance, expatriate support, and other HR matters. The HR Manager will also serve as a


liaison with external service providers.

Key Responsibilities


• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, personnel files,


employee relations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.


• Address employee conflicts and complaints and conduct workplace investigations as


needed.


• Advise the President and management on HR policies, employment practices, and


compliance matters.


• Coordinate annual performance and compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, merit


increases, and salary letters.


• Oversee payroll operations and payroll staff, including payroll tax reporting and


communication with payroll/HR system providers.


• Manage employee benefits and coordinate benefit plan participation with affiliated


manufacturing locations.


• Coordinate visa and immigration matters for international assignments and transfers


involving Japan, Canada, India and other locations.


• Serve as the primary contact with external legal counsel for employment-related matters


and other business matters as assigned.


• Plan employee events and engagement activities and coordinate related budgets

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or


equivalent experience.


• 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.


• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment practices and applicable employment laws.


• Hands-on experience with employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and


terminations.


• Experience with compensation, payroll, benefits, and HR compliance.


• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, attorneys, vendors, and


other stakeholders.


• English language skill at expert level


Preferred


• Experience handling employment-related legal matters in a manufacturing environment.


• HR experience with a Japanese-owned or multinational company
