Sales Manager Location: Warren, RI Job Id: 246 # of Openings: 1 M.S. Walker is hiring a Sales Manager for the Rhode Island area. The role focuses on developing and driving sales activities in the assigned market, leading a sales team, and achieving profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Responsibilities Develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Lead and develop the performance of Sales Representatives. Prepare individual and team action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects. Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets. Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed. Oversee account receivables to ensure compliance with credit terms. Conduct one‑on‑one reviews with all Sales Representatives to improve performance. Hold team meetings to promote connectivity and goal attainment. Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance. Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on completed prospect applications. Maintain accurate sales and activity records submitted by Sales Representatives. Assist Sales Representatives in preparing proposals and presentations. Consistently make key account calls and presentations. Orchestrate targeted account calls for supplier market visits. Host dignitary visits, events, and promotions. Adhere to company policies, procedures and ethics codes and ensure they are implemented. Recruit, test, and hire Sales Representatives based on agreed criteria. Internal / External Cooperation Ensure all Sales Representatives meet activity standards for prospecting, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes. Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow‑up. Set examples in conduct, character, commitment, organization, selling skills, communication, and work habits. Conduct regular coaching and counseling to build motivation and selling skills. Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high satisfaction. Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. Communicate clearly, expeditiously, and directionally in verbal, written, and presentation forms. Apply creative and entrepreneurial problem‑solving mindset. Requirements 5-7 years of sales management experience. Extensive experience in Supplier Relationship Management. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements. Willingness to travel and work in a global team. Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
