About the Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Purchasing Analyst to join a growing company in the metals industry. This role is ideal for a procurement professional with strong sourcing capabilities, exceptional vendor relationship management skills, and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and purchasing terms, analyzing procurement data, and supporting the company's overall supply chain strategy. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish , as the individual will work with vendors and internal stakeholders across diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, product quality, and reliable delivery.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international vendors, serving as a key point of contact for pricing, negotiations, performance, and issue resolution.
• Purchasing & Procurement: Manage purchasing activities, including purchase orders, supplier confirmations, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze supplier pricing, market trends, and purchasing data to identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve overall procurement efficiency.
• Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery conditions to secure favorable commercial agreements.
• Supplier Performance: Monitor vendor performance against cost, quality, service, and delivery expectations while proactively addressing discrepancies.
• Market Research: Track market conditions, pricing fluctuations, and supply trends relevant to the metals industry to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, inventory management, logistics, finance, and other internal teams to align purchasing activities with business needs.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records, analyze purchasing metrics, and prepare reports on spending, supplier performance, and savings initiatives.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes, strengthen supplier partnerships, and improve purchasing controls.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required , with the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders in both languages.
• Demonstrated success in vendor relationship management, supplier negotiations, and sourcing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate pricing, compare supplier proposals, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other purchasing, inventory, or ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong business judgment and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the metals, steel, aluminum, industrial distribution, or manufacturing industry .
• Familiarity with commodity pricing, raw materials, metals markets, and supplier lead times.
• Experience with ERP or procurement platforms and purchasing analytics.
• Experience sourcing from domestic and international suppliers.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

• Base salary of $80,000–$100,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
• Annual bonus opportunity of up to 10% .
• Hybrid work arrangement based in Doral, Florida.
