Plant Maintenance Manager

Overview Job Title: Plant Maintenance Manager Location: Whitestown, Indiana Industry: Manufacturing The Plant Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role within the plant operations team, overseeing all aspects of maintenance for manufacturing equipment and the facility itself. This individual serves as a technical advisor and provides supervision to the maintenance team to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong background in plastic molding equipment, preventive maintenance planning, team leadership, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment. Conduct regular inspections of molding machines to identify wear, malfunctions, and performance issues. Coordinate and execute repairs, retrofits, and upgrades to plastic molding equipment. Align maintenance schedules with production plans to minimize downtime and disruption. Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards. Manage the maintenance department budget with a focus on cost-effective resource allocation. Collaborate with procurement to maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables. Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance performance and reduce long-term costs. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and key performance metrics. Use data analysis to provide insights and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 8 years of experience as a maintenance technician. Previous supervisory or management experience is required. Background in maintenance management within the plastic molding industry.
