Reference: PR/609256_1788958739We're currently partnered with a growing manufacturer of custom power distribution equipment seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience designing low-voltage switchboards and panelboards while working closely with manufacturing, project management, and operations teams.In this role, you'll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and design through production and implementation. The position offers exposure to electrical design, sheet metal design, control systems, and power distribution equipment, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a well-rounded engineering foundation.Key Responsibilities:Design low-voltage switchboards and panelboards using 2D and 3D CAD softwareCreate wiring diagrams, one-line drawings, front views, and electrical layoutsDevelop sheet metal components and large product assembliesCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to develop custom solutionsSupport projects from design through productionEnsure all designs comply with applicable NEC, UL, and industry standardsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline4-6 years of engineering experienceExperience with 2D/3D CAD software (Autodesk preferred)Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Experience:UL891, UL67, UL508A, or UL1558 standardsNational Electrical Code (NEC)Control circuits and electrical logicConductor sizing and overcurrent protectionElectro-mechanical product design or manufacturing environmentsThis is a great opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team, gain direct product ownership, and develop expertise in power distribution equipment while working on highly customized projects.
