Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Surgery to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy. Opportunity Details: Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting including patient examination, recommendations for and/or interpretation of appropriate routine diagnostic tests. Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient's condition and pertinent diagnostic results. Surgical assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot. Perform inpatient rounds, collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts. Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health. Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program. Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant. Current certification issued by the NCCPA. New Grads Welcome! Opportunity to provide coverage and assistance in multiple surgical specialty areas! Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week. The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below: 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
