Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Registered Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 36 hours guaranteed Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Respiratory Therapist License: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) preferred Certifications:
- BLS
- NRP (required for NICU/PICU/Pediatric RT)
- PALS (preferred for NICU/PICU/Pediatric RT) Must-Have:
- Extensive experience is considered for CRT candidates
- Critical care experience including airway and ventilator management
- Experience with ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue, and rapid response Description:
Immediate start needed.
Interviews conducted as soon as possible.
Variable shifts or nights available.
Preference for candidates with extensive experience as CRT.
Candidates must be comfortable working with adults.
Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, Cystic Fibrosis, ARDS, Trauma/Surgery, Pneumonia, Lung Cancer, Stroke, ALS, GBS, COVID-19, and RSV.
Experience with Oscillator 3100, Sensormatic, and Drager ventilators will be beneficial.
The team is very focused on critical care and follows strict protocols.
Travelers will provide support to adults with varying medical conditions.
Floating to other trained units may be required.
Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
On-call is voluntary, with a two-hour notice before and after shifts.
Holiday expectations are assigned unless otherwise specified in the agreement.
Scrub colors are flexible; professional appearance is required.
