Brightways Counseling Group is seeking experienced Licensed Therapists to provide in-person therapy services from their own office locations as independent contractors. 

This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who want to maintain or grow an in-person practice while gaining access to consistent referrals, insurance partnerships, and administrative support - without taking on the full operational complexity of building and managing every aspect independently.

• No required meetings or mandated caseloads beyond your stated availability  

We Handle the Administrative Work  
Brightways provides full administrative support so you can focus solely on clinical care: 

• All client referrals generated for you  

• All clients pre-screened before scheduling  

• Scheduling handled by our team  

• Insurance credentialing completed for you  

• Billing, claims submission, and payment reconciliation  

• EHR platform provided  

You focus on care. We handle the rest. 

What You’ll Do  

• Provide evidence-based, measurement-informed care  

• Complete treatment plans every 90 days  

• Complete clinical documentation for payment  

• Deliver in-person care from your private, secure office  

 
Office & Site Requirements (In-Person Services)  
To support insurance billing, clinicians must have access to a consistent, private location for in-person sessions. This can be a commercial office or a fully enclosed home office, provided it meets the criteria below. 

Your space should:  

• Be a private, fully enclosed room suitable for confidential therapy (not a shared or open setting)  

• Be a consistent, dedicated location (not a rotating or ad hoc space)  

• Have a verifiable physical address for credentialing -  must be based in Oregon

• Meet HIPAA privacy and safety standards  

As part of onboarding and credentialing, you may be asked to:  

• Complete a brief virtual walkthrough or provide photos of the space  

• Provide documentation (e.g., lease, ownership, or permission to use the space)  

• Confirm professional liability insurance covering in-person services at this location  

Additional note:  

• ADA accessibility is preferred where applicable  

Important:  
Both the clinician and the office location must be credentialed with insurance payers prior to seeing clients. Most clinicians find their current space already meets these requirements or only needs minor adjustments. 
 
Minimum Qualifications  

• Must reside in the state of Oregon

• Must hold an active Oregon clinical license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field  

• Minimum 3 years of in-person clinical experience using evidence-based practices

• Experience working with any age group (children, adolescents, or adults)  

• Ability to maintain a compliant private practice setting  

• Successful background check  

• Must provide an office location in Oregon  

 
Availability  
We’ve found the best fit for Brightways are clinicians who can offer at least 20 hours per week of availability . You pick the times. You pick the days.
