Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Leader to join our team at Chick-fil-A. This Business Administrative Assistant opportunity is designed to give you a career in the most highly-esteemed restaurant chain in the nation while providing a clear roadmap for your professional growth and development. The Business Administrative Assistant will be supporting primarily the Owner/Operator and secondly supporting the Director Team to ensure exceptional Business Administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner. Through various goals and initiatives, this position would give you the opportunity to make a huge impact on overall success of the organization.

Ownership of the following Business Administrative Components:

  • Performing applicant tracking, screening, interviewing, & selection through our applicant tracking platform
  • Conducting final interviews for Back of House & Front of House team members and lower-mid level leader candidates
  • Screening upper-level leadership candidates
  • Auditing Time Punches regularly to ensure accurate Payroll processing bi-weekly
  • Auditing Employee Meal Reporting to ensure accuracy
  • Auditing & uploading Employee Files into business operating platform
  • Reviewing & Coordinating all Payroll steps, & partnering with the Owner/Operator for payroll payroll completion ensuring accuracy & compliance
  • Maintenance of online Employee Directory, Employee Files, and various other HR Data and processes through our business operating platform
  • Drafting and updating Job Descriptions, personnel forms, etc.
  • Ensuring workplace business permitting remains accurate and up to date
  • Auditing & administering Internal Organization Communication Systems for effective leader communication
  • Auditing our restaurant email account & administering communication to appropriate teams or individuals
  • Administering employee monthly surveys and providing insights to leadership

Business Administration Assistant Expectations: (Not an exhaustive list)

  • Exhibit a passion for business administration, and a genuine passion & excitement to serve at Chick-fil-A Eldorado & Ridge.
  • Attend and help organize quarterly team wide meetings ensuring the organization remains up to date on any pertinent business administration processes or procedures.
  • Attend weekly Director team meetings virtually or in person.
  • Ensure you know and adhere to all policies outlined in the employee handbook
  • Hold interviews to fill staffing gaps. Utilize interview guides for all positions, creating new guides as positions are developed
  • Monitor and update talent boards regularly within our business operating platform
  • Encourage a culture where we serve all guests in a manner that leaves them happier when they leave than they were when they arrived
  • Utilize restaurant software systems to ensure you are aware of any necessary communication, changes in procedures
  • Collaborate with the leadership & management team
  • Serve in Restaurant (8) hours per week in any capacity each day, always prioritizing the Guest Experience first
  • Utilize effective requests to ensure smooth communication within the team
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Chick-fil-A processes and procedures
  • Show an eagerness to learn and grow daily, always pursuing excellence
  • Know all Pathway based procedures and be willing to go back and review any issues that arise to uphold the standards of Chick-fil-A Eldorado & Ridge
  • Ensure all assigned Pathway Training is completed prior to the due date given

Background Profile

  • 3 years of Leadership experience (required)
  • 2 years of Human Resources Management experience (preferred)
  • Recruiting experience (required)
  • Restaurant experience (required)
  • Passion for Chick-fil-A's values (required)

Requirements:

  • Experience as a leader in a customer service and/or production environment
  • Proven ability to lead in quick paced environments as part of a team
  • Basic computer competency
  • Communicates employee meal discounts & time punch policy violations to the Leadership Team in a timely manner
  • Works with the Leadership Team to ensure appropriate restaurant staffing levels
  • Must be an excellent coach, communicator, and team builder
  • Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect
  • Serves as subject matter expert to leadership for ongoing recruiting efforts
  • Achieve strategic, annual business results through focus and action on tactical monthly and quarterly objectives and tasks
  • Complete understanding of each key position in both the front and back of the restaurant
  • Demonstrates knowledge of interview best practices and employment law
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
