Store Counter Sales Representative – Automotive Paint & Refinishing

Put your automotive paint knowledge to work! Refinish Supply Company is looking for a  Store Counter Sales Representative with an interest in automotive paint, collision repair, and refinishing products. If you enjoy working with customers, have experience with automotive paint or body-shop products, and want to build your knowledge in the refinishing industry, we’d love to have you join our team!

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping professional customers find the  right paint, coatings, supplies, and refinishing products for the job.

The ideal candidate will be available to work 40 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays.

As a Store Counter Sales Representative, you’ll be a key resource for our  collision repair shops, body shops, painters, and other automotive customers. You’ll help customers select products, provide knowledgeable service, and ensure they have what they need to get the job done right.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide knowledgeable, friendly service to  professional automotive paint and collision repair customers .
• Assist customers with  automotive paint, coatings, primers, clear coats, hardeners, reducers, and refinishing supplies .
• Mix automotive paint accurately according to product specifications and customer requirements.
• Help customers identify the right products and supplies for specific refinishing applications.
• Build strong relationships with body shops, painters, technicians, and commercial customers.
• Answer phone inquiries and assist with customer orders, product questions, and commercial deliveries.
• Recommend related products and supplies to meet customer needs and support sales.
• Process sales transactions accurately while following company policies and procedures.
• Assist with product returns, freight receiving, labeling, stocking, and inventory.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
• Make local deliveries and pickups as needed.

We’re looking for someone who is  customer-focused, knowledgeable, and eager to grow within the automotive refinishing industry.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with automotive paint, collision repair, body-shop products, or automotive refinishing is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of automotive paint systems, mixing, and refinishing products is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to listen to customer needs and recommend the appropriate products.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy when mixing paint and processing orders.
• Comfortable learning new products, technologies, and paint systems.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous sales, counter, or automotive industry experience is helpful.
