Role Overview As a Regional Director, Field Sales you will build, coach, and lead a team of Outside Account Executives to drive Matterport’s growth across a geographic territory. You will live the field, coaching sellers, creating high‑quality pipeline, and shaping how Matterport enters and competes in the market. Responsibilities Build and lead a regional team of Outside Account Executives—including hiring, developing, and retaining high‑performing field sellers. Drive new business acquisition and expansion, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets in your geographic territory. Spend 3–4 days per week in the field coaching sellers on in‑person meetings, live demonstrations, and executive conversations. Develop sellers into field professionals who excel at discovery, solution positioning, and Matterport value demonstrations. Establish operational rigor around pipeline creation, weekly forecasting, territory activity, prospecting expectations, and CRM accuracy. Partner with Sales Enablement to reinforce training and ensure sellers consistently apply Matterport’s sales frameworks. Collaborate with Product and Marketing to strengthen regional GTM messaging and support industry‑specific campaigns. Engage directly with key customers to support strategic deals, executive alignment, commercial negotiations, and account expansion. Run weekly team routines, including pipeline reviews, coaching sessions, field days, and operational check‑ins. Model leadership excellence and champion Matterport’s values, customer‑first thinking, and professional culture. Provide crisp regional reporting on performance, pipeline health, competitive dynamics, and team development needs. Travel 40–50% within the region to support sellers, meet customers, and build market presence. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing outside or field sales teams, preferably SaaS. 8+ years of sales experience, preferably SaaS, selling complex, multi‑threaded solutions to large organizations. Proven success coaching sellers on account strategy, executive engagement, and value mapping. Strong operational leadership: design processes, coverage models, and disciplined forecasting. High executive presence and ability to influence C‑level stakeholders. Ability to travel 50%+ within the sales region. Current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability to grow a regional territory through new business acquisition and expansion. Track record of retaining high performers and managing underperformance. Experience building or scaling an enterprise strategic accounts team. Strong cross‑functional and external relationship‑building skills. Experience in AEC, Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Industrial/Manufacturing, Retail, or Insurance/Restoration.
