About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum experience required License: DC license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: - Charge experience required - Preceptor experience required - Delivery room experience required - Travel experience required Description: Special Care Nursery position available. Assist with circumcision and assess the site post-op. Provide car seat education and cord care. Deliver discharge teaching to parents. Ensure infant identification and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE. Administer IV antibiotics to neonates. Experience with large for gestational age and low birth weight infants is necessary. Conduct metabolic screening and manage neonatal abstinence syndrome. Perform newborn assessments and monitor for hypoglycemia. Utilize phototherapy as needed. Skills in starting and maintaining IVs are required. Teach circumcision care to parents. Practice thermoregulation and administer vaccines. Willingness to float to postpartum for baby care assignments is necessary. Every other weekend availability is required. Scrubs will be provided.
