The Lancaster Stormers at Penn Medicine Park are seeking an Event Manager.

Position Summary

The Event Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and execution of all non-Stormers game-related stadium events. These duties include management of logistical aspects, budgeting, vendor relations, and coordination of in-house elements like catering and event set up/tear down.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, promotion, service, execution, and supervision of all non-game related events.
• Ensure all documentation specific to an event ("Event File") is complete, distributed, and logged appropriately.
• Develop event concepts, themes, timelines, field & room layouts.
• Manage client expectations and address needs as they arise.
• Track expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Provide regular updates on event progress.
• Coordinate catering and audio-visual needs with the appropriate departments.
• Provide detailed timeline of events to all departments.
• Produce signage.
• Schedule and supervise seasonal/part time support staff in accordance with event needs.
• Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational objectives.
• Investigate and resolve event related complaints in a professional manner ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and collect feedback.
• Manage special projects, both self-initiated and assigned, by establishing and maintaining connections internally and externally.
• Assist in the management of vendor relationships.
• Assurance of timely delivery of services.
• Managing payments.
• Attend weekly meetings to discuss details and necessary information needed for each event.
• Ensure safety regulations and emergency preparedness standards.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration, Business Administration, Event Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in facility or unique events environment; sports or entertainment experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Budget management and project planning experience.
• Must be able to demonstrate (by way of example/or experience) an elevated level of organization, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Motivated initiative-taker who possess the ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Creative, energetic and ability to establish relationships with clients, vendors and staff members.
• Must be willing/able to work non-traditional hours including, evenings, weekends and holidays.
