Location: Las Vegas, NV 89015
Schedule: Full Time

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Purchasing Agent is responsible for ensuring that the organization has access to the materials and supplies needed to support operations. This role researches, negotiates, and purchases a variety of materials and supplies while ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research potential vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and services
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms
• Seek out potential new vendors and suppliers
• Place orders with vendors and suppliers
• Track and monitor the delivery of orders and invoices
• Monitor material planning through the ERP system
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual agreements
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and invoices
• Address and resolve issues or disputes with vendors
• Identify and source electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, and other PCBA materials from reliable suppliers
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure components meet required specifications and standards
• Perform other duties outside the scope of work as assigned and required
  

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred
• Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar role
• Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and inventory control
• Understanding of supply chain procedures
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Ability to manage vendor relationships
• Proficiency in MS Office and an ERP system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to evaluate vendors and products
• Working knowledge of purchasing regulations and procedures
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Office environment
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation
• Repetitive hand and arm movements
• Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required
• Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing or pulling, bending, or twisting motions
• Walking short distances and standing for meetings or other office activities
