Proposal Coordinator/WriterWe are seeking a Proposal Coordinator/Writer to join the team! The Project Coordinator provides proposal writing from start to finish of its development and coordination support for federal and commercial solicitations, including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and similar opportunities. This role is designed for a small, fast-paced team environment and focuses on proposal writing, organization, compliance, and submission support within a full-time capacity and is a fully on-site position based out of our Tysons, VA office.ResponsibilitiesProposal Writing & Editing Draft, edit, and refine proposal content, including technical, management, and corporate sections, based on provided guidance and inputsIncorporate, track, and reconcile feedback from leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs)Tailor proposal language to align with solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and customer prioritiesEnsure clarity, consistency, compliance, accuracy, and a professional tone across all proposal sectionsResponsible for drafting/writing all RFI, RFP, and RFQ write-ups from start to submission solelyProposal Coordination & Support Track proposal schedules, milestones, deadlines, and required deliverablesCoordinate inputs from internal contributors and SMEs to support timely and compliant submissionsDevelop and maintain compliance matrices and checklists to ensure solicitation requirements are metOrganize proposal files, templates, and maintain version control throughout the proposal lifecycleCompliance & Quality Control Review proposals for compliance with solicitation instructions, page limits, formatting, and submission requirementsPerform quality control checks for grammar, formatting, consistency, and completenessIdentify and flag compliance gaps, risks, or missing information to leadershipProcess Improvement & Organization Assist in developing and maintaining proposal templates, content libraries, and reusable boilerplate materialsIdentify, recommend, and promote innovative and efficient methods to improve proposal and business development processesSupport light process improvements appropriate for a small team environmentMaintain organized records of submitted proposals and supporting documentationCommunication & Collaboration Communicate regularly with leadership regarding proposal status, priorities, risks, and resource needsParticipate in proposal-related meetings as needed within part-time hoursWork collaboratively with a small team while managing assigned tasks independentlyDeliverables Proposal submission logs and organized proposal filesProposal schedules, compliance matrices, and checklistsDrafted and finalized proposal sections and completed submission packagesProposal templates, content libraries, and reusable materialsRFI, RFP, and RFQ responsesCapability statements, past performance materials, and other business development deliverablesQualificationsBachelor's Degree or higher3+ years of proposal, GovCon, government contracting, or related experiencePrior knowledge of proposal and government contract verbiage, processes, and business development methodologyPrevious experience writing government proposals, including RFI, RFP, and RFQ responsesStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detail, organization, and proofreading skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, small-team environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work independently and collaboratively with leadership and SMEsAbility to commute and work on-site at AET Federal's designated work locationBenefits/PerksGreat Work EnvironmentWork-Life BalanceCareer Advancement OpportunitiesCompensation: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.AET Federal Inc.AET Federal Inc.
