The manager assists with developing and implementing performance initiatives to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes and customer satisfaction. Demonstrates leadership qualities and critical thinking through self-direction, initiative, effective interpersonal skills and oral/written communications skills. Fosters interdepartmental/interdisciplinary collaboration. Participates in committees, representing unit and Nursing in a positive manner.Education RequirementsBachelors required. Masters preferred. One degree must be in Nursing.Experience RequirementsProgressively responsible experience in a clinical setting for a minimum of 5 years.Leadership experience preferred.Certificates, Licenses and Registrations RequiredRegistered Nurse with current Texas license.CPR certification and, for magnet designated hospitals in the system, an applicable magnet recognized certification must be obtained within 6 months (preferred at all other locations).QualificationsDoes this describe you?Do you have a BSN or MSN?Do you have 5 years of progressive RN experience?Do you currently hold a TX RN license, a compact RN license or are you able to obtain a TX RN license prior to employment if you do not currently hold one?The Ideal CandidateCandidate will need previous OR experience. Would like them to be a CNOR. This OR does GU, robotics, general, gyn, colorectal, kidney cases. MAGNET experience would be preferred.
