Contracts Administrator

Position Overview The Office of Central Procurement seeks a dynamic, hardworking, and highly skilled professional for the role of Contracts Administrator, Senior Professional. This position reports to the Contract Manager and involves reviewing, modifying, and negotiating contracts in a large volume, fast‑paced, complex environment. Responsibilities include ensuring contracts comply with university guidelines, identifying contract complexity, escalating when needed, and managing various agreement types. The role requires on‑site presence in the office at least one day per week and offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on‑campus work. Responsibilities Review and negotiate contracts received by Central Procurement in accordance with university guidelines. Identify the complexity of contracts and appropriate escalation. Manage a variety of other agreement types. Communicate with internal University compliance offices such as the Office of Ethics and Compliance, Information Security, the Office of Risk Management, and the Office of General Counsel. Required Qualifications Experience reviewing, modifying, and negotiating contracts. Self‑management skills and flexibility, including the ability to prioritize among many responsibilities. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to multitask and respond professionally in challenging situations. Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications Experience in identifying and resolving contract‑related issues by collaborating with key stakeholders. Experience making decisions on contract‑related requests from employees based on established University guidelines and protocols. Experience using customer relationship management software such as ServiceNow and learning new software tools. Minimum Education, Work Experience & Required Certifications Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted. No required certifications. Background Checks / Clearances Employment requires successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies.
