Registered Nurse Supervisor (2nd Shift) - South Mountain Restoration Center

Job Overview Join the Department of Human Services as a Registered Nurse Supervisor and help shape the daily care provided to residents! In this role, you lead nursing staff at South Mountain Restoration Center by sharing your knowledge and supporting strong teamwork. Your efforts will help build a caring and dependable environment for both residents and employees. Responsibilities Communication Oversight: Provide clear, therapeutic, and daily communication with residents, families, and staff. Team Support: Guide and mentor nursing personnel to foster teamwork and effective collaboration. Resident Advocacy: Review resident care needs and act to support safe and appropriate treatment. Staff Development: Identify training needs and deliver ongoing orientation and instruction to nursing staff. Documentation Duties: Maintain records, review care assessments, and prepare reports and employee evaluations. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, rotating on and off duties including weekends and holidays, with a 30‑minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs. Overtime as needed. Free parking. Telework: you will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: in some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable. Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability. Special Requirements All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one‑year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
