Become a part of our team at the Department of Veterans VA Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, as a Physician - Psychiatrist!

The Inpatient and Interventional Psychiatrist will act as the Attending Psychiatrist for the Acute Recovery Center Inpatient Unit at SFVA, delivering psychiatric care to veterans in need of inpatient hospitalization. This role also encompasses providing both inpatient and outpatient interventional psychiatry services, including ketamine infusions, electromagnetic stimulation treatments, and transcranial magnetic stimulation, as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the psychiatrist will mentor UCSF trainees and serve as backup faculty for on-call residents at SFVA. The incumbent will work alongside a diverse team to offer mental health support to veterans diagnosed with conditions such as schizophrenia, other psychotic disorders, and complex or treatment-resistant mood disorders, including major depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety disorders.

• Expected Salary Range: Between $300K - $315K (negotiable based on qualifications, credentials, and experience)

• Work Schedule: Full-time; specific schedule to be determined by supervisor

• Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases

• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually (including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for CME)

• Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% contributions from the organization

• Licensure: Must hold one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory

• Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting
