Service/Repair Technician – 1st Shift

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Service/Repair Technician with experience in diagnosing and repairing commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs according to manufacturer standards, OEM guidelines, and company specifications.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulics on dump trucks, snowplows, liftgates, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
• Engage in fabricating and welding tasks as required.
• Repair generators, compressors, cranes, and more.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of repair and upfitting procedures.
• Safely maneuver vehicles and equipment within the shop and surrounding areas.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained during service work.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies consistently.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Read and comprehend installation instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members and departments.
• Maintain high-quality standards and personal productivity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to machinery and moving parts.
• Working in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
• Subject to excessive noise levels.

Experience Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with standard hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.
• Basic fabricating and welding skills.
• Experience testing equipment for proper operation.
• Possession of quality personal tools.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to learn and train on specific repairs for generators, compressors, snowplows, cranes, etc.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures and physical demands (standing, kneeling, bending).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
