Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting students one-on-one as a paraprofessional. This position is available to start as soon as possible, providing coverage for a maternity leave with an expected duration through October, possibly extending further. The assignment offers the chance to make a meaningful impact every day in a dynamic educational environment near Downingtown, PA.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in a school setting preferred
- Skilled in providing individualized academic and behavioral support
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
- Reliable, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certifications a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one assistance to a designated student, supporting their academic and social development
- Implement accommodations and modifications under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education staff
- Reinforce lesson content, assist with assignments, and encourage positive classroom behavior
- Maintain clear records of student progress and communicate updates to involved staff and families
- Contribute to an inclusive, respectful environment for all learners
