Make a meaningful impact in education as a dedicated paraprofessional, working closely with students in a supportive and dynamic school environment. This full-time contract opportunity offers a consistent 35-hour workweek, with multiple positions available starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2027. Flexibility is key, as schedules vary between 7:15 AM and 4:00 PM depending on the assigned site.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly).
- Experience working in a school setting.
- Ability to obtain all necessary Pennsylvania clearances.
- Reliable transportation for daily commutes.
- Comfort working in urban environments.
- References must be provided and verified.
- Previous involvement with SPED students and those facing behavioral challenges preferred.
- Flexibility to support caseloads across K-12 settings.
- Open to candidates with experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavioral Technician.
- Capacity to adapt to a variety of student needs, including toileting/diapering, 1:1 service, and behavioral supports (elopement, kicking, biting).
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students, including personal care and academic assistance.
- Deliver individualized attention as assigned, fostering a positive and safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement intervention strategies and behavior plans.
- Assist students in developing social, academic, and life skills.
- Maintain diligent records and communicate effectively with the educational team.
