Job Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Fayetteville, NC 28306
Schedule: Full-time, school-based

Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school-based setting in Fayetteville, North Carolina . This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and multidisciplinary teams to help students develop the communication skills necessary for academic and social success.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, implementing therapy programs, and supporting students with a variety of speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

• Implement treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP.

• Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication goals.

• Assist with documenting student progress and maintaining accurate service records.

• Collect and report therapy data to the supervising SLP.

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success.

• Assist in preparing therapy materials and adapting activities to meet individual student needs.

• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and other school-related activities as appropriate.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with school, district, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field required.

• Active North Carolina SLPA license/certification required (or eligibility to obtain).

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

• Passion for supporting students with diverse communication needs.

• School-based setting serving students with a variety of communication disorders and developmental needs.

• Collaborative environment with support from Speech-Language Pathologists, special education staff, teachers, and administrators.
