Part-Time Dental Hygienist — Makowski Dental

Makowski Dental is growing, and we’d love to welcome a great Dental Hygienist to our team!

We’re looking for a passionate, compassionate Dental Hygienist who takes pride in patient care, enjoys building relationships, and wants to be part of a close-knit practice where your work truly makes a difference.

Your Schedule

We’re flexible on which 1–2 days you work.

• Monday & Wednesday
  • 7:15 AM morning huddle | 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
  • 1-hour lunch break
• Tuesday & Thursday
  • 7:15 AM morning huddle | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
  • 30-minute lunch break

What You’ll Do

• As a Dental Hygienist at Makowski Dental, you’ll play an important role in both patient care and education. Responsibilities include:
• Perform comprehensive patient screenings, including oral health assessments, medical history review, oral cancer screenings, head and neck examinations, charting, and vital signs
• Take digital radiographs
• Provide excellent preventive hygiene care, including proficiency with Cavitron and Prophy Jet
• Perform periodontal charting and assess hard and soft tissues
• Apply preventive treatments such as sealants and fluoride
• Take impressions when needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, nutrition, and maintaining optimal oral health
• Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit
• Accurately document existing restorations, decay, periodontal conditions, and recommended treatment
• Follow practice protocols for infection control, biohazard safety, quality assurance, referrals, implants, periodontal care, and emergency procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile treatment environment
• Build positive, trusting relationships with patients and contribute to a great overall patient experience

What We’re Looking For

• Active Colorado RDH license
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• A compassionate, positive attitude
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in providing outstanding patient care
