Summary The Field Service Representative (FSR) is a customer-facing role responsible for fitting, training, relationship management, and territory development. The FSR contributes directly to business growth through account education, new product bookings, and retail partnership development. FSR drives engagement, builds trust with accounts, and expands the brand’s presence in key markets. This role bridges the gap between grassroots marketing and regional sales development, carrying many responsibilities typically held by a Territory Manager while maintaining a strong focus on consumer fitting and retail activation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The FSR’s responsibilities include the following: o Fitting Events & Brand Activation: Plan and lead Mizuno demo days, fitting events, and new product activations across the assigned region. Deliver a best-in-class brand experience at every event, showcasing deep product knowledge and superior fitting service. o Territory Growth & Account Development: Own and grow a regional territory by developing strong relationships with retail accounts, green grass partners, and golf professionals. Identify opportunities to expand product presence, increase sell-through, and book new product orders into accounts. o Training & Education: Conduct on-site and remote product training for retail staff, golf professionals, and fitters to ensure a consistent understanding of Mizuno technologies, fitting methodology, and brand story. Serve as a go-to expert for all things Mizuno Golf in your region. o Sales Execution & Product Booking: Take an active role in the commercial side of the business by booking new product into accounts, identifying gaps in inventory, and recommending strategic product placements to drive revenue and market share. o Customer & Market Insights: Gather and report on consumer preferences, product feedback, and competitive activity. Use these insights to help inform future product positioning, marketing strategies, and sales initiatives. o Retail & Event Logistics: Manage the transportation, setup, and breakdown of fitting equipment, demo clubs, and branded materials. Ensure that every event runs smoothly and professionally, reinforcing Mizuno’s premium brand image. o Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with retail and green grass accounts through consistent communication, high-touch service, and visible in-market presence. Act as the primary point of contact for accounts within your territory. o Brand Representation: Represent Mizuno with professionalism, passion, and product mastery. Uphold the brand’s values and commitment to excellence in every interaction—whether with consumers, partners, or industry professionals. o Professional Growth & Advancement: Continuously develop leadership, product, and business skills through ongoing training, with a clear path toward broader territory ownership or future roles in sales or management. Qualifications o Bachelor’s Degree preferred o 1-2 years of prior sales experience within the Golf Specialty and or Sporting Goods Industry o Prior experience as a custom club fitter o Exceptional subject matter expertise in golf equipment and the sport of golf o Excellent ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically with golfers at all levels of the game – from entry level to professional o Ability to thrive in a team environment where everyone contributes their very best o High degree of self-motivation and determination to see tasks through to completion o Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to plan ahead and keep schedule full o High proficiency with mobile computing, using the iPad (iOS), Windows laptop, and MS Office o Must be able to commute to the assigned territory or relocate if applicable o Must be able to travel 80% of the time throughout multi-state territory for extended periods of time o Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends (Weekend defined as Friday thru Sunday) o Exemplary driving record and willingness to undergo regular MVR testing Physical Demands/Essential Functions o Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and conversing with consumers outdoors o Must be able to personally demonstrate the use of golf equipment o Must be able to lift equipment and boxes, up to 50 lbs. o Must be able to complete custom fittings, which may involve lifting, bending, and twisting. o Must be able to drive a company vehicle to customer facilities or events within the assigned territory.
