Overview
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: October 26, 2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week with a 5x8 day shift. Weekly pay range: $2,496 to $2,614. Work setting: inpatient, short-term acute care hospital.

Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of occupational therapy treatment programs to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions; serve as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary patient care approach.
- Perform comprehensive OT evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans; select appropriate therapeutic techniques and tools.
- Provide therapy interventions using established protocols and evidence-based methods; tailor plans to acute care patients.
- Develop and communicate individualized care and discharge plans to patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team; coordinate with other services as needed.
- Complete accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines; monitor and adjust progress toward goals.
- Supervise assigned OT assistants and participate in quality and safety initiatives as required.

Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD); required; acceptable for licensure if obtained after January 2007 or with foreign equivalent.
- Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice (California) required.
- Certifications: CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required; facility policy requires BLS.
- Experience: Two years of occupational therapy experience preferred; inpatient acute care and ICU experience strongly preferred.
- Additional: Ability to work in an inpatient short-term acute care setting; current BLS certification; eligible for state licensure; must meet all health and safety requirements for a hospitalized patient setting.
