Job Description Fast growing Kansas City construction-related company seeks an experienced Controller to help design and build the financial infrastructure that supports their growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of corporate accounting practices. Responsibilities Month‑end and year‑end close – journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals. External audit support – schedules, reconciliations, documentation. Consolidated financial statements across a multi‑entity organizational structure. Variance analysis and management commentary. Revenue recognition compliance under ASC606 – percent‑of‑completion billing, WIP schedule maintenance. Intercompany accounting, related‑party transactions and elimination entries. Corporate, business development and administrative expense review and analysis. Process improvements and reporting enhancements. Cash flow statements, management packages and supporting schedules. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Construction experience is a must. Demonstrated expertise in account analysis and general ledger reconciliation. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex financial information.
