Senior Digital Marketing Specialist - Marketo Required

LOCATION: Hybrid – 8 days a month in the office. U.S. Midwest / West locations preferred - Chicago IL, Riverwoods IL, Dallas TX, Houston TX, Phoenix AZ, Wichita KS, Clayton MO, Torrance CA. Other candidates will be considered to hybrid office locations.

OVERVIEW

The Sr. Digital Marketing Specialist will be a key member of our global Digital Marketing team, driving high-impact digital programs that accelerate pipeline creation and support customer expansion across our Clinical Effectiveness line of business. This individual contributor role is ideal for a hands-on operator who excels at paid advertising, marketing automation, email program execution, audience segmentation, account-based advertising operations and data-informed optimization.

In this role, you will be a primary owner of email marketing and marketing automation within Adobe Marketo Engage , while also supporting account-based digital advertising and answer engine visibility programs within Google Ads, 6sense , LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Reddit Ads and OpenAI Ads . You’ll partner closely with global stakeholders - including Campaign Strategy, Product Marketing, Sales, and Data/Analytics - to orchestrate digital experiences that are personalized, highly visible, measurable and aligned to revenue outcomes.

OVERVIEW

Email Marketing & Marketing Automation

• Own the build, QA, and deployment of email programs, engagement/nurture streams, triggered workflows, and operational campaigns in Adobe Marketo Engage .
• Create and manage Smart Lists, Smart Campaigns, tokens, snippets, A/B tests, and dynamic content to drive engagement and conversion.
• Maintain global email governance including naming conventions, folder structure, and compliance with deliverability, GDPR/CCPA, and preference center best practices.
• Partner with key stakeholders to translate campaign briefs into scalable Marketo programs aligned to audience strategy and lifecycle stage.

Account-Based Marketing & Digital Activation

• Assist with ABM campaign setup and execution within 6sense , including audience/segment creation, intent-based targeting, keyword updates, and funnel-stage activation.
• Support LinkedIn ad execution (such as Sponsored Content, Conversation Ads, and Document Ads), ensuring accurate audience targeting and integration with Marketo workflows.
• Collaborate with digital advertising leads to ensure coordinated cross-channel orchestration between ads, web, and email nurture motions.
• Provide account-level ABM engagement measurement, particularly buying-stage progression, pipeline and revenue influence.

SEM and Answer Engine/LLM Visibility Support

• Assist with Google, Reddit and OpenAI campaign execution and management including targeting, asset management and reporting.
• Support initiatives designed to improve brand, product, and content visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered answer experiences, including Google AI experiences, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and other emerging platforms.
• Develop and apply a working knowledge of Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and LLM visibility concepts, including brand/entity visibility, source citations, answer relevance, content discoverability, and competitive share of visibility.
• Support content and campaign recommendations that improve discoverability across both traditional search and AI answer environments.

Campaign Operations, Optimization & Insights

• Build and execute end-to-end integrated programs that connect digital ads, landing pages, web personalization, and email nurtures.
• Monitor campaign performance, provide recurring insights dashboards, and recommend actionable optimizations based on engagement trends, intent signals, and content performance.
• Implement structured A/B and multivariate testing plans across channels - subject lines, CTAs, content formats, segmentation splits.
• Partner with Analytics, Sales Ops, and RevOps teams to ensure accurate campaign tracking, attribution, and reporting via PowerBI, Salesforce, Marketo, LinkedIn, Reddit, Google Ads, OpenAI and 6sense .

Program & Process Management

• Develop and maintain scalable audience segmentation strategies, ensuring clean targeting, persona alignment, and avoidance of cross-program audience fatigue.
• Ensure all programs follow brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and consistent messaging across geographies.
• Support budget and spend tracking for digital advertising and ABM programs, ensuring accuracy across campaigns and cost centers.
• Contribute to ongoing MarTech process improvement—including documentation, QA processes, and campaign setup templates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or comparable experience.

Experience: 3+ years experience in B2B digital marketing, demand generation, or marketing operations (Healthcare or enterprise SaaS experience preferred).

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
