Security Officer - Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol in Romeoville, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver welcoming customer service while communicating professionally with visitors and team members. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, receiving and shipping spaces, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity while reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns. Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements: CPR certification is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
