As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Driver Route Patrol in Lemont, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeTue05:15 AM - 06:15 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment ('Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government research location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns. Monitor access to assigned areas by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and documenting visitor activity in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed. Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information during shift changes. Minimum Requirements A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Lift up to 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
