Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Med/Surg Tele)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting within a large acute care hospital environment
• May float to additional units to care for the same patient population based on operational needs
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation with required passing scores
• Participate in holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday as scheduled
• Adhere to annual hands-on competency requirements and complete required pre-start and annual modules

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or Med/Surg Telemetry specialty
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
• All required certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission — pending certifications will not be accepted
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single location for the required specialty, though combined experience across locations is considered
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and electronic medication safety platforms
• Experience working in a large, high-acuity hospital environment
