Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Med/Surg Tele)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day/Night Rotating (7:00–19:30 / 19:00–7:30) | Shifts may vary based on operational needs; preferred shift will be accommodated when possible

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting within an acute care hospital environment
• Float as needed to designated units to care for the same patient population
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely, as evaluated through a medication assessment during orientation
• Participate in holiday scheduling, expected to work at least every other holiday
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements if maintaining a continuous contract engagement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or Med/Surg Telemetry specialty
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Must achieve an acceptable score on both the ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 12 months of permanent experience within a single facility or location in the applying specialty
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in an acute care setting
• Experience floating across multiple units within a large health system
