Responsibilities Development of real-time models for hardware-in-the-loop simulators for power converters. The real-time computers of the HiL simulators consist of a CPU and 1.4 FPGAs. The CPU is programmed with Matlab Simulink, and the FPGAs are programmed with NI LabVIEW. The FPGA models run with cycle times of 1.2 microseconds, the CPU with a cycle time of 200 microseconds. This architecture is required to meet the high real-time requirements. Because of the limited duration of activity, a very short training period is required. This is only possible through experience in exactly this field.
