Electrical Engineer (BESS)

Our client is a rapidly growing BESS developer, focused on developing and delivering utility-scale battery storage projects across Germany. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the technical development and delivery of their expanding project portfolio. The role Support the technical development of utility-scale BESS projects across Germany Manage electrical engineering topics throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate grid connection activities with network operators, consultants, and external engineering partners Review electrical designs, studies, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards Support technical due diligence, equipment selection, and contractor management activities Identify technical risks and develop practical engineering solutions Collaborate closely with project development, permitting, construction, and commercial teams The ideal candidate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline 1‑3 years of experience within BESS, solar PV, wind energy, grid connection, EPC, utilities, or electrical infrastructure projects Understanding of electrical systems and grid connection requirements within the German energy market Ability to manage technical workstreams independently and take ownership of project deliverables Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders Fluent German and professional English language skills Willingness to travel within Germany when required #J-18808-Ljbffr Hunter Philips Executive Search
