Infection Control Preventionist -LVN or RN

Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing the Infection Control Preventionist assumes the responsibility for the Infection Control Program of the facility. The position involves responsibilities in areas of case findings, surveillance, reporting, analysis, interpretation, inspection, control measures, education, consultation, evaluation and recommendations and training. Sunny View Retirement Community Pay Range: $55.00 - $68.00 Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing the Infection Control Preventionist assumes the responsibility for the Infection Control Program of the facility. The position involves responsibilities in areas of case findings, surveillance, reporting, analysis, interpretation, inspection, control measures, education, consultation, evaluation and recommendations and training. Collaborates with all levels of nursing personnel as well as with facility consultants, physicians and department managers and other department employees in assessing needs for infection control prevention, control, implementation and management. Provides infection control program related education. Is responsible for the communities Infection Control protocols, tracking and prevention. Essential: Competencies and skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages Must be able to communicate in English sufficiently to document medical records report to agencies and instruct staff. Credentials: Licensed Vocational Nurse - California Essential: Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Advanced educational preparation in infection control Nonessential: Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: 1 Year Minimum of one year in infection control practice 0 Year long term care, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nurse 0 Year Nursing experience with leadership and teaching abilities Compensation Disclaimer: The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).
