The Lead Accounts Payable Specialist performs a variety of upper-level accounting activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements.The ideal candidate has experience in serving as a lead in an accounts payable team, the month-end close process and anything accounting related while learning the ins and outs of the business from the bottom up.COME ON BOARD THE GOGO ACCOUNTING SUPPORT TEAM.How will you make a difference?Primary point of contact for the A/P team to work with to resolve issues that require your assistance and expertiseAnalyze major accounts and prepare monthly reconciliation of subsidiary accounts to general ledgerDevelop and implement record keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to A/PIdentify and resolve problems and inconsistencies and suggests appropriate corrective procedures; elevates issues as necessaryOversee compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company proceduresMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing cause of unexpected variance. Design and run Quarterly and Monthly financial reportsDirect, train, and assign work of Accounts Payable staffQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance, or related work experience4-7 years’ experience in A/P processingRequired Skills, Talents, & ExperienceOrganized and able to be a lead in the team, while managing deadlinesEffective problem solving; methodical, detail-oriented and analytical approach to issue resolutionStrong attention to details with analytical, organizational and research abilitiesStrong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Preferred Skills, Talents, & ExperienceERP systems experience, Microsoft Business Central a plusBe comfortable using computers and software including, but not limited to, accounting and management information systems, spreadsheets and databasesExperience in evaluating and streamlining processes and systems, developing and implementing policies and procedures to achieve operational efficienciesAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal and verbal/written communication and messaging skillsEqual Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay:24.60 - 30.75 USD HourlyTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive:Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible for Incentive Stock Program:YesBenefits:Gogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
