Details Work in a Level I trauma center's Critical Care Float Pool Care for ICU patients across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 13-week assignment Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required Floating to a variety of ICUs required 48-hour work weeks may be accepted for interested candidates Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active NY RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent experience in critical care/ICU specialty required BLS and ACLS certifications required from AHA or RQI Epic EMR experience required Level I trauma center experience preferred Prior experience floating to a variety of ICUs highly desired Previous travel nursing experience required No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted) Additional Information Provide critical care nursing coverage across multiple ICU units and patient populations Navy blue scrubs required Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible if located in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out No blocked scheduling permitted RTO must be requested at time of consideration American Traveler Job ID P-740338.
