Details Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care unit within a hospital setting Cares for trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients Trauma Level One facility Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required 48 hours per week may be considered for interested candidates Requirements Active NY RN license required at time of consideration BLS and other required certifications must be from AHA or RQI Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required, including trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patient care Epic EMR experience required Previous travel nursing experience required No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted Medical exemption signed by a licensed professional required for flu vaccine exemption; personal or religious exemptions not accepted Competency test required within 24 hours of consideration, with two attempts allowed to pass Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to a mixed population of trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible, including those in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties No blocked scheduling permitted More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week contract period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out RTO must be requested at time of consideration First-time travelers are not considered for this role due to required prior travel experience American Traveler Job ID P-749786.
