The Assistant Underwriter is an entry level position in our insurance agency that works with our members to help them write business in our insurance programs (if you happen to be an experienced insurance CSR, we want to talk to you too!). • Working within established procedures, help members underwrite, submit, service and write insurance policies for their clients.
• Review insurance applications for accuracy and input accurate information in our Salesforce based technology platform. Review correspondences for accuracy and ensure accounting transactions are correct.
• Build exceptional relationships based on fast, friendly, and accurate responses.
• Educate members on the insurance programs available and the systems they can utilize.

• At least 1 year of professional office experience.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Valid NYS Property & Casualty Insurance License or ability to pass pre-licensing course and obtain license.
• Experience in the insurance industry is a bonus.
• Ability to participate in insurance pre-licensing class and attain appropriate insurance license.
