Equity Research Senior Associate/Vice President- Internet

About the Role Wolfe Research is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or VP to join its NY Based Extel-ranked Internet Team. They will report to the Senior Analyst and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the franchise including modeling, note writing, and helping to create differentiated research analyses. As their responsibilities expand, they will communicate with clients and sales/traders and participate in the creative process. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a great deal of critical thinking. Strong writing, modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required. Experience in equity research, investment banking, public accounting, consulting or industry is preferred. Responsibilities & Professional Experience Demonstrated ability to generate ideas: work closely and communicate effectively in a time sensitive environment, balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, strong organizational skills, client service minded, and strong writing skills. Draft reports/notes on relevant investment themes, events, and breaking news. Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving skills: work with large data sets in Excel/Access, source and process information independently. Strong communication skills: particularly an ability to write efficiently and concisely. Technical skills: Bloomberg and/or FactSet skills helpful, advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, conditional formatting, shortcuts), and statistics (regression, variance, covariance, correlations). Build and update financial and valuation models. Use mastery of Excel functions: shortcuts, develop complex logic formulas, mastery of reference formulas, integrate graphics/data tables, formatting, and basic programming. Requirements Experience: 3-5 years in sell‑side research (preferably Internet/Software/Technology), buy‑side, investment banking, public accounting, consulting or industry. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university; concentration in Finance, Accounting, Math, or Statistics preferred. MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus. Advanced understanding of financial modeling, experience building and maintaining 3‑statement models. Fully licensed with Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 preferred or expected to be completed within the first 6 months. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Enthusiastic about following the stock market and developing industry themes. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment independently and collaboratively. Minimum 3.5 GPA. Comfortable working 10+ hour workdays and occasional weekends. At Wolfe Research we feel passionately about equal pay for equal work and pay transparency is an integral practice for that. The compensation for this role is market competitive with a base salary range of $130,000-$175,000, based on non‑discriminatory factors including skill set, experience and location.
